Four Ways to Pay at Lone Mountain Dental
Cost is one of the most common reasons people put off the dentist. Many of the patients who call our office already know they need care. What they want is a clear, manageable way to pay for it. Here is how our four options compare.
| Option | What it is | How it helps |
|---|---|---|
| In-House Plan | An annual membership with our practice, $259 a year | Covers routine cleanings and lowers the cost of crowns |
| CareCredit | A healthcare credit card | Pay for treatment over time, with promotional financing on qualifying purchases |
| Cherry | A patient payment-plan provider | Split the cost of treatment into monthly payments |
| Sunbit | A point-of-sale financing provider | Pay for treatment over time |
The simplest way to think about it: the In-House Plan lowers what you pay, and financing changes when you pay it.
What the $259 In-House Plan Includes
For one annual fee, members receive:
- Two professional cleanings a year
- 20% off crowns
- No deductibles
- No waiting periods
Because there is no waiting period, your benefits apply from your first visit as a member. You pay the practice once a year. There are no monthly premiums and no deductible to meet before your savings begin.
How the plan differs from dental insurance
Dental insurance usually means a monthly premium, a deductible, an annual maximum, and in many plans a waiting period before major work is covered. Our In-House Plan replaces all of that with one yearly fee and a straightforward discount. Because it is a plan with our practice, its benefits apply to care at Lone Mountain Dental.
Routine visits matter even when nothing hurts. The American Dental Association notes that regular exams and good oral hygiene can prevent most dental disease, and your dentist will recommend how often you should come in based on your own oral health. Two cleanings a year built into one fee makes that routine easier to keep.
Is the In-House Plan Right for You?
The plan works well for patients who want a predictable yearly cost for routine care and a lower price if they need a crown. People who are self-employed, between jobs, or retired often find a membership plan easier to budget for than paying full price visit by visit.
Already have dental insurance? We accept most major plans, including Delta Dental, and we check your benefits before treatment so you know what’s covered. Visit our dental insurance page or bring your insurance card to your visit, and our front desk can help you compare your coverage with the In-House Plan.
Saving on Crowns
Crowns are one of the treatments our patients ask about most. A crown covers and protects a tooth that is cracked, badly decayed, or weakened after a root canal. Our office makes same-day CEREC crowns in-house, so many patients leave with their permanent crown in a single visit instead of waiting weeks for a lab.
In-House Plan members save 20% on crowns. As a simple illustration: on a $1,000 crown fee, a 20% discount is $200. That figure is an example, not our fee. Your actual cost depends on the tooth and the type of crown, and we’ll show you the full price, your member savings, and your remaining balance before you decide.

What About Other Treatment?
If your dentist recommends something else, such as a filling, a root canal, or dentures, we’ll give you a written estimate before any work begins. It shows the full price, any member savings that apply, and the balance you would pay. From there, you can decide whether to pay at the visit or use one of our financing options for the remainder.
Paying Over Time: CareCredit, Cherry, and Sunbit
If you need treatment now and would rather pay in installments, we work with three financing providers. Each one has its own application, terms, and approval decision, so approval isn’t guaranteed. Our front desk can tell you how to apply for each.
Before you sign up for any financing, check four things: the interest rate (APR), the length of any promotional period, the monthly payment, and the total amount you’ll repay.
One detail worth understanding is deferred interest. Some healthcare financing offers 0% interest for a set period, but if the full balance isn’t paid by the end of that period, interest can be charged back to the original purchase date. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau explains how this works in its report on medical credit cards and financing plans. If you choose a promotional offer, plan to pay it off before the promotion ends.
Questions to Bring to Your Visit
- What is the full price of my recommended treatment?
- How much would I save as an In-House Plan member?
- Which payment option fits the remaining balance?
- If I finance, what is the total I’ll repay?
